Emerging Americana duo Of Sea and Stone began in January 2014 when Luke Dierker and Morgan Manson matched on the popular dating app Tinder. Immediately exhibiting a rare vocal chemistry, the two began writing and playing tirelessly across their home state, Missouri. Their sound ranges from joyful to solemn, hopeful to desperate, sharing raw, honest lyrics carried by their haunting melodies. After a few years of regularly performing across Missouri, the two got married and began writing their first album.

In October 2016, Of Sea and Stone recorded their debut album at Dark Horse Recording in Franklin, TN with producer Billy Smiley and mixing engineer Richie Biggs (The Civil Wars, Barton Hollow). The album features guitarist Brad Rice (Keith Urban), drummer Jared Kneale (Hunter Hayes, Kacey Musgraves), bassist Danny O’Lannerghty, and guitarist Brennan Smiley of The Technicolors. In writing the album, the married duo resolved to show every side of love: the good, the bad, and the ugly. As described by the couple, "the album is not a love story; it's a story of love." Their self-titled album Of Sea and Stone was released on December 1st, 2017 through The Orchard and Soundly Music of Nashville, TN. The upbeat, earthy track “Mother and Father” was placed on Amazon Music’s Fresh Folk and Americana playlist following the release. In July 2017, the duo began touring full time across the Southwestern and Southeastern U.S. markets. Across the United States, Of Sea and Stone is known for their intimate songwriting, polished vocal harmonies, and captivating live show. They have shared the stage with several talented artists on tour, including Judah and the Lion, Tyler Hilton, and Hush Kids. Their latest single, I Love You, Goodbye premiered on Nashville’s The Boot alongside their first music video. The single is a sterling example of the couple’s soaring vocals and nostalgic lyrical style. Of Sea and Stone never fails to transport you, making you feel their pain, joy, and love through every performance.

“Of Sea and Stone’s strong, stunning harmonies shine on “I Love You, Goodbye,” a slow-burning ballad about the complicated, bitter end of a relationship. “This song took a big part of us. Heartbreak and loss are not easy subjects to write about, because they come from such painful experiences,” Manson tells The Boot. “But sharing our story is so worthwhile when we see the connection that our fans have to the song.”’
— Amy McCarthy, The Boot
“You’ve got to make the hair stand up on my arm a bit, and that’s what happened when I first heard these two.”
— Kevin Jonas Sr., Manager - The Jonas Brothers
“This new single highlights an abundance of paradoxical themes not only in title but even in execution – as their polished and poised vocal harmonies, cascade over their raw and vulnerable songwriting. There’s a certain inevitably expressed in “I Love You, Goodbye” – but we’re just thankful this real-life duo has found harmony in their own unity, and continue to graciously share their combined vulnerability and strengths with us.”
— For The Love Of Bands
“The easy comparison here is The Civil Wars. Of Sea and Stone are one of the bands following in the legacy that The Civil Wars forged of haunting, intimate lyrics and harmonies. The sound definitely mirrors that iconic group. What we like most about this duo is the fact that they can fill the space of the track with a tight and evocative harmony that ultimately is all their own. They have this folk-country male-female duo thing down pretty good!”
— Ear To The Ground Music, "Keeping Country Alive - Five New Tracks"
“[Their] sound is familiar, yet all its own. I feel like I’ve heard something like them before, but I couldn’t tell you who or what it was that they reminded me of. Their songs made me nostalgic for something I couldn’t quite place.”
— Regina Anderson, The Maneater
