Heartbreaking News ~ Tay Watts

Bad news is never easy to accept, and it's even more difficult to communicate in any form. However, we learned today that Houla Entertainment artist, Tay Watts, was pronounced missing late Sunday evening after falling off the Crystal Pier in San Diego. The Coast Guard and Search/Rescue teams had been searching since, until this afternoon when they called off the search without successfully locating Tay.

For any of you that have had the pleasure of meeting Tay and listen to the passion and love he poured out through his music, you know what a truly nice and talented young man he was....he will be missed by so many. We are obviously stunned in having to come to terms with this heartbreaking news, for Tay became one of Houla's "family" members shortly after he emailed me in the summer of 2016. As many of you know, our artists become family and this makes any loss especially hard for me and all of the Houla family.

Please, in your own way, say a prayer for Tay, for his family, and all of us at Houla as well that they somehow find peace through this difficult time.

Houla Entertainment Named 2017 Midwest Agency of the Year

Houla Entertainment is both proud and honored to be awarded the 2017 APCA Midwest Agency of the Year.

Matt accepted the award, thanking the student programmers and advisers for working with Houla as well as APCA for working so hard for everyone.

"We are honored to have been selected for this award in 2014 and here again in 2017. We really appreciate the trust and collaboration of ALL the schools in working with us. Without APCA facilitating these successful conferences, Houla wouldn't have the opportunity to showcase our diverse talent and none of this would be possible. Thank you, everyone! We look forward to more great things ahead" Lee said after learning of the award.

Matthew Schuler to star in The Voice: Neon Dreams at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas

We are excited to share the news....Matthew Schuler will be staring in The Voice: Neon Dreams at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas starting in the Spring of 2018.

The Show takes place in a brand new, custom-built venue at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino that includes a one-of-a-kind, interactive lobby experience where you can get up close and personal with the music at the heart of it all. It is the only place in the world where you can cut your own demo in a professional recording booth for a chance to sing a duet live on stage with your favorite Voice artist or even appear on the hit NBC television show. The lobby experience also lets concert-goers get photographed in an authentic, signed Coach’s Chair, discover the incredible stories of hope and perseverance from The Voice around the world, and dig deeper into the show that has changed so many lives through the power of music. For the first time you can begin a Voice journey that could lead all the way to your very own Blind Audition.

She has also sung the National Anthem and performed at half-time during several sporting events around the country. In addition to the release of her debut CD, Music Speaks, Glover co-starred in the Hallmark Channel’s original Christmas movie Northpole and appeared in the gospel musical The Love Shack in Los Angeles.

The Voice winner Josh Kaufman has been seen on Broadway in Pippin. The singer/songwriter recently released his first post-Voice self-titled EP, which blends soul, funk, R&B, rock and classic pop. America’s Got Talent winner Bianca Ryan's debut album included the #1 holiday hit song "Why Couldn’t It Be Christmas Every Day?" In 2015, Bianca Ryan Records was established; her first single, “Alice,” clocked over 1.7 million YouTube views. In 2017, she began releasing singles including “One Day,” “What I Gotta Do,” “Man Down” and her new single “Don’t Wanna Come Down.”

Home for the Holidays will feature creative and music direction by Emmy nominee Jonathan Tessero. The show will play a limited run through December 30.
