He has also written award-winning sketches for LeVar Burton (Reading Rainbow, Star Trek) and Jenifer Lewis. Wilson began his comedy career during his time at Howard University in Washington, DC with the urging of his professor, the legendary Al Freeman Jr. Since then, he has appeared on NBC’s LAST COMIC STANDING, TruTV’s LAFF TRACKS, Epix’s UNPROTECTED SETS, TVOne’s NewsOneNow w/ Roland Martin and much more. He’s been featured with Jon Stewart, Wanda Sykes, Donnell Rawlings, Michael Yo and performed on stages such as The Apollo Theater, Netflix is a Joke Festival, and the 2024 JFL Vancouver Festival.
Kasaun’s comedy is far reaching but his writing is also impactful as his veterans episode with The Problem with Jon Stewart was pivotal in the singing of the groundbreaking Pact Act (law that permits veterans affected by burn pits & invisible wounds access to necessary healthcare and benefits). It also garnered him the opportunity to sit on the Senate floor with Jon for the signing.
